Root Down to Rise Up 🌳
Last night, a sea of people gathered in the beloved downtown studio space one final time. This was an opportunity to move together, breath together, and hold space for all the memories that live in the walls. An opportunity to honor where we’ve been and to open space for where we are going. It was a chance to root down to rise up. Last night was not just another class—it was a closing ritual. It was a moment to reflect on the echoes of laughter, the quiet of early summer mornings late winter evenings, and all of the transformation that continues to unfold on every mat. 206B S Front Street—the building that held only a portion of The Yoga Haven’s beginning… a place that cradled dreams, tears, love, joy, and growth.
This morning, we stepped into The Yoga Haven’s temporary home—a space that has held the grace and discipline of the Fremont Ballet School for the past 60 years. These walls carry their own legacy of movement, rhythm, and dedication, and now they welcome us for a short time. Though the setting has changed, the spirit of practice remains. This space invites us to pause. To remember that, like yoga itself, things may shift and unfold—but the essence stays. The breath, the presence, the deep knowing in our bones—that’s what carries forward. It lives within and at the heart of it all, the practice continues.
Because this is sacred.
Thank you for showing up—yesterday, today, and every day moving forward. Thank you for allowing me to open the doors of this studio with your continued presence. It’s you who keeps the heartbeat alive. You are the pulse that carries this studio to every corner of the community. Thank you for entrusting me (and my fellow yoga teachers) to be a guide for you in this sacred practice. Thank you for accepting, supporting, and believing in me as we’ve grown this magnificent community together.
The downtown building merely held a portion of the beginning. It held hopes, dreams, and visions for the brightest future. And now, as we prepare for the next chapter, I feel my feet firmly planted in gratitude. Through all the transitions, I continue to find home—and for that, I am forever thankful.
The Yoga Haven is not a building. It’s a heartbeat. And it continues on.
May we carry it forward—with love, with courage, and with community.
Namaste.
