A Gentle Guide to What’s Changing

If you read my last post, you already know a little bit about the inner shifts that have been unfolding behind the scenes. What I shared there came straight from the heart — a reclaiming, a remembering, and an honoring of what The Yoga Haven has always been meant to be: a sanctuary, not a machine. A space of presence, not pressure. A place where love leads, always. This transition didn’t come from burnout — it came from wisdom. From listening closely to what my body, my home, and this community were quietly telling me.

And now, with that clarity rooted deeply, it’s time to share the practical shape of this new season we’re stepping into together.

Below is a gentle guide to what I know is changing — and what will remain beautifully the same — with the understanding that some details are still being finalized and will always be shared as they unfold.

A More Intentional Class Schedule

Since opening in January 2023, I have given room for the schedule to grow at an exponential rate both with variety in styles and additional teaching team members — and while that expansion held so much beauty, it also stretched me in ways that weren’t sustainable.

This next chapter brings us back to simplicity, steadiness, and alignment.
This shift isn’t about “less.”
It’s about deepening the quality of what is offered.

What to expect:

  • A smaller weekly class schedule (to be shared in the coming days) — thoughtfully crafted to honor the most cherished classes and the students who regularly practice at the studio, while also making space for new students to step onto the mat and become part of the community. This schedule reflects my commitment to teaching sustainably, while keeping The Yoga Haven a welcoming and supportive space for everyone who walks through the door.

  • Every class will be led by me — a highly trained, trauma-informed yoga teacher, former trauma therapist and social worker, and someone who has spent over a decade teaching thousands of classes while maintaining a steady personal practice. This experience, training, and heart have shaped The Yoga Haven since its inception, and I am honored to continue guiding each class with care, intention, and presence.

  • Consistent class times — so your body can settle into a rhythm, your mind can anticipate and prepare for the practice, and your week can feel grounded around a reliable, nourishing routine.

  • Offerings that reflect the heart of The Yoga Haven — classes grounded in embodied movement, trauma-informed guidance, mindful presence, conscious breath, and genuine connection. Each class is designed to support your body, mind, and spirit, creating a safe and welcoming space for exploration, growth, and the deepening of your practice.

A More Intimate Teaching Structure

With these shifts, the teaching structure is also becoming simpler and more heartfelt. Many of the beloved teachers we’ve come to know and love will be stepping back with this transition. They will always be part of the The Yoga Haven story, and I honor every class, every moment, and every bit of love they’ve shared with this community.

Moving forward, I will be leading all regularly scheduled weekly classes. Teaching is where my heart lives, and stepping fully into this role allows me to offer the depth, consistency, and presence that The Yoga Haven was built on. From time to time, a few trusted and familiar teachers may step in to sub when needed — always chosen with care to maintain the spirit of the space.

This new structure isn’t about closing a chapter or shrinking — it’s about honoring the truth of my life in this season and creating a way of running the studio that feels sustainable and real. With three young children at home and a husband who travels, holding the needs of a full team and a full schedule simply isn’t feasible. Simplifying allows me to continue offering the heart of this space with clarity, consistency, and love.

Membership + Pricing Updates

With a more focused schedule, the membership and pricing structure needs to evolve, too. These shifts support the long-term sustainability of the studio and honor the level of experience, training, and care that goes into every class I teach.

For Current Unlimited Monthly Members:

  • All current students on an unlimited-monthly plan will have the option to continue at their current rate through the start of this new season. If you’re on this membership and feel the structure no longer aligns with your needs, you may end your contract with no penalty after your next billing cycle. No questions, no stress, just clarity and ease.

  • While the unlimited option is now closed to new students, those who already hold this membership are welcome to keep it indefinitely — for as long as it continues to support your practice. However, 5-class packs will no longer be offered starting now and continuing through this new season. If you already have class credits, please know you’ll be able to use them fully, all the way through their expiration date—no rush, no worry.

New Pricing Structure (Beginning January 1, 2026)

To support sustainability — and to reflect the depth, training, and high-level instruction you receive here while acknowledging and honoring a more simplified schedule — the pricing will shift to the following beginning January 2026:

  • Single Class: $15/student

  • “Root Membership”: 5 classes/month — $65 (auto-renew)

    • This membership is designed for students who want a steady, grounded practice without overcommitting (about 1x/week). It provides flexibility while encouraging consistency, helping you stay connected to your body, breath, and the studio community.

  • “Rise Membership”: 8 classes/month — $90 (auto-renew)

    • This membership is ideal for students who want a more frequent practice while maintaining flexibility (about 2x/week). It offers the structure to deepen your connection to your body, breath, and the studio community, supporting growth and consistency in your practice.

My intention is for every option to feel clear, fair, affordable, and aligned with the heart of The Yoga Haven: a space to land, grow, and feel supported in your practice.

The Heart of The Yoga Haven ✨

As we step into this new season, it feels important to pause and honor what isn’t changing — the heart and spirit of The Yoga Haven that you know and love — while also looking ahead to what’s new to come. This balance of continuity and possibility is at the core of this shift, keeping the studio grounded even as we explore fresh ways to grow, connect, and deepen the practice together.

What’s Staying:

  • The gentle, inclusive welcome you feel the moment you walk through the door

  • The community that has held this space from the very beginning, alongside the new faces we’ve yet to meet

  • The care, intention, and presence you’ve always experienced on the mat, guided by a trauma-informed approach that honors your body, boundaries, and choices

  • The belief that growth isn’t always about doing more — sometimes it’s about refining, deepening, and showing up fully

  • The empowerment to make choices in your practice, cultivating confidence, awareness, and self-trust

The Yoga Haven was never built on the idea of “more.”
It was built on meaning.
That is staying.

This shift may simplify the schedule, but it opens space for the heart of the studio to truly play. With more freedom in class timing and administrative space, I can offer more specialized classes, workshops, and pop-ups with well-loved and well-known teachers.

Most importantly, it gives me the chance to show up fully as your teacher, not just go through the motions — to really be present on the mat with you, to guide, explore, and share the depth of the practice that makes The Yoga Haven what it is.

With Heart and Intention ✨

This shift came sooner than I expected — perhaps at the most challenging time — and I know it may bring up big feelings for some of you, as it certainly did for me. Change is hard. However, running a full studio with my lifestyle — three young children at home and a husband who travels — had become increasingly challenging. Without some changes, continuing at the same pace simply wouldn’t have been sustainable. Thanks to the incredible support of the Fremont Ballet School, I now have the opportunity to continue offering yoga to the community we know and love, while also honoring the balance I need in my personal life.

This isn’t a goodbye — not to the teachers we’ve come to know and love, and not to the community that has held this space with so much care. Instead, it’s an invitation to refine, breathe, and grow inward, for the long-term sustainability of The Yoga Haven and for the health of this practice we all cherish.

I know transitions can bring questions, uncertainty, or even frustration. Please reach out to me directly — I’m always happy to clarify, or simply listen. My hope is that these shifts support you in the same way they support me: with more clarity, more ease, and more space to be fully present. These changes are rooted in love, sustainability, and the long-term health of this studio. I am building something I can stand behind with my whole heart — and that means creating from alignment, not exhaustion.

The future holds so much potential, but for now, it’s okay to pull back, breathe, and inhabit this present moment — exactly as yoga teaches us. This next chapter is about alignment, not exhaustion; intention, not obligation; and depth, not expansion. We’ll walk it together, with care, curiosity, and connection — because transparency, honesty, truthfulness, and most importantly, love…. always wins.
