Marsha Guffey, CYT-200
Meet Marsha Guffey, CYT-200. Marsha's desire to continually learn sets her apart from most yoga teachers. She strives to be in tune with student's needs and adapts her class styles to support an inclusive environment. As a retiree, she finally has the time to enjoy and share her passion for yoga!

Marsha first experienced yoga in the 1970s practicing yoga to Rodney Yee video tapes. Life got in the way, and she only practiced when finding “me” time, which wasn’t very often! Her style revolved around intense, flow-style vinyasa yoga. Over time, she began to prefer a moderate to slower, reflective style of yoga, where there’s time to tune into the body, notice the breath, and calm the mind.

Marsha says, "I’ve had many inspirations over the years – Rodney Yee, Jane Fonda (lol), my friend Jody, to name a few. I have to say that now, first and foremost, Samantha Pollick inspires me with her determined resolve to keep moving forward and helping others, even when she is challenged by overwhelming circumstances. Samantha has helped remind me that I don’t need to be perfect, I only need to be authentic. No one ever told me that!"

Outside of yoga, Marsha is a mother, a grandmother to 4 amazing grandchildren, and 7 step-grandchildren. She has a partner/husband, Michael, who has been whole-heartedly supportive through the yoga teacher journey.... and, for that, she is eternally grateful! She has a diverse background in manufacturing, in education as a paraprofessional educational aide, and as a career consultant for special needs individuals.
